What will a Pharmacy Coordinator do every day?

  • Ensure efficient operation of the day-to-day activities within a pharmacy that dispenses 600 prescriptions daily 
  • Manage Pharmacy Technician Staff to maintain appropriate daily coverage
  • Standardize office procedures, systems, forms, and implement revisions as necessary
  • Manage associated vendor relationships
  • Helps promote a positive work environment by leading, communicating, and partnering with the team and management  
  • Provide monthly reporting and as needed reporting to managers and directors
  • Train new internal and external staff on processes and software
  • Coordinate quarterly facility inspections with Pharmacist-in-Charge 

Pharmacy Coordinator minimum requirements will include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in business, marketing, or management 
  • Minimum 2 years of operations experience; Pharmaceutical experience preferred 
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred 
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, implementation, and proven project management experience  
  • Must be comfortable working with various types of technology and software, including PC's, Microsoft Office, and strong Excel skills  
  • Must be able to actively contribute to a positive team environment
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks, remain focused, and work independently
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Professionalism is a must
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to engage in frequent stooping, bending, reaching, and squatting throughout the day
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

Candidate must be reliable and have a solid work history to be seriously considered for the position.  A completed pre-employment drug screen and background check will be conducted.  

Position hours:  Five 8-hour shifts scheduled between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  Government holiday schedule in effect.
